Anchor Point is an alternative education program where young people aged 15-19 can complete their Certificate I or II in General Education (Year 9 or 10 equivalents).

With campuses in Heathridge and Ballajura, this program is focused on helping young people who, for a variety of reasons, have found it difficult to succeed in mainstream schools. We offer students a flexible environment where they can complete their education while getting the extra one-on-one support they need to reach their future career potential.

We understand that life is sometimes complex and that each person’s path to success is unique. That’s why Anchor Point operates differently to traditional schools;

HIGH STAFF TO STUDENT RATIO

To make sure each student gets the support they need, we have 1 staff member for every 7 students. Our classes also have a maximum of 15 students.

A PASTORAL CARE APPROACH

In addition to educators, students have access to youth workers and a literacy coach.

A TAILORED APPROACH

We know that young people learn in different ways. That’s why we make our lessons engaging and hands on. We also take students on regular excursions to enhance their learning and increase their knowledge of potential career pathways.

LIFE SKILLS

Our students leave Anchor Point with skills that will help them succeed in life. These include cooking, budgeting, social skills, conflict resolution, job-seeking, and interview skills.

INDIVIDUALISED SUPPORT

We help students overcome their personal barriers and assist them to create an education plan that is meaningful to them.
